Leaos, a South Tyrolean bicycle manufacturer, approached Harry Thaler to design an electric city bike.
Following the ideas of Harry, I revised geometry and design in order to develop a frame that met the requirements of the manufacturing process and the removable battery, while preserving comfort and stability.
The request of the head designer was to develop a frame meant to be manufactured using stamping and pressing, the process used for Harry's Pressed Chair. The unique manufacturing process distinguishes the production of the Pressed bike from other manufacturers, reaching so an overall weight of 15 kg. The aluminum parts are laser cut from 2.5 mm aluminum sheets, pressed and spot welded to be then powder coated.
Renderings were decisive for color, material, and finish.
